HomeLocation – at the heart of Newcastle

Location, Location, Location

The Racquets Court is at the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne – 4 minutes’ walk to Northumberland Street (home to Marks & Spencer, John Lewis, Fenwick and so on), 4 minutes’ walk to Haymarket Metro and 15 minutes’ walk to Newcastle Central Station.

If you’re heading for the City’s cultural heart then that’s also only a few minutes’ walk. The Tyneside Cinema – the City’s 1930’s restored screen and restaurant magnet for those interested in great films.

Or (and again only minutes from The Racquets Court), there’s alternative theatre at Northern Stage or Live Theatre.  More conventional theatre can be found at Theatre Royal.

For music fans, there’s The Academy (15 minutes’ walk) or The Cluny (17 minutes’ walk) or The Sage Gateshead (a whopping 20 minutes’ walk to the other side of the Tyne).

For more music and comedy, Newcastle City Hall is actually on the same street as The Racquets Court (around 150 metres along the road).

Those keen on comedy will know that Newcastle is home to the only English outpost of the legendary Scottish Stand Comedy Club – and although it’s getting repetitive to say it – again only a short 10 minutes’ walk from The Racquets Court.

Or, after work, just a few minutes to the City’s bars and restaurants.

In summary – The Racquets Court location is about as good as it’s possible to be.
